Becky & Mike - The Wedding - 09/11/09

Today my brother Eric is leaving for 9 months to study over in Birmingham, England so yesterday I decided to take some last minute photos of him.
This is the hat that he bought on our trip to South Dakota. He sure does love hats.
We also live on a small hobby farm with chickens. This big white Rooster’s name is Thor.
No mini photoshoot with my brothers is complete without some funny ones:

I started to go through Becky & Mike’s photos from their wedding on Friday and I just had to post this one right away. I think that you can see from this photo how much they truly love each other and their brilliant personalities shine through.

On the 10th I took a little trip up to Minneapolis to see my cousin Jaspar’s “farewell show”. I’ve always felt so bad about not making it to any of her shows and I thought this would be an important one to go to since it’s one of her last before she moves to South Africa for two years. It was held at The Glacier Fringe.
Jaspar can be found here: http://www.myspace.com/jasparlepak
and you can buy her music here: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/jasparlepak

Jaspar’s husband Kale played the accordian and provided some harmony vocals:

Okay, so I’ve been neglecting this blog a little, but look - a brand new post!
Anyway, back in December I got to travel to the lovely island of St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands for Jessie & Max’s wedding! I had never even flown before and this was my first real trip. Let me tell you, I was blown away by the island’s beauty!

Exchanging vows

I love the look that Jessie is giving max in this photo.

The guys

The gals. (I love how the yellow dresses look with the blue water).

While we were away in Hawaii my cousin Dan stayed at our place and took care of all the animals. We had some free time the night before we left so I thought it was time to “initiate” Dan into my crazy world of bathroom photos (my favorite kind). No, they’re not dirty, it’s just that I don’t have a studio and the lighting in the bathroom happens to be ok. He seemed wary when I came out with my camera and asked him if he wanted some photos. All four of us (Eric, Craig, Dan, & I) shoved ourselves into the bathroom. I told them to move over so I could close the door, that must have really freaked him out but I need the door closed for the bare wall behind it. We found out that Dan hasn’t ever taken “funny face” photos before. Poor guy. During the mini shoot my brothers ended up pinching his nipples and he kept them protected for the rest of the shoot. So anywho here’s Dan’s first bathroom funny photos:
Here’s a little sneek peek of what I’m working on from Chris & Jen’s wedding on Saturday!
